Poker Bluffing
So you've played for a while and you've noticed some playersplaying a lot more hands than you are... what's their secret? First of all they probably know what cards to play but it's also because they are bluffing some of the times.
A golden rule when bluffing is that it's easier to bluff when then there are just a few players left in the game than it is when all are still left in the game.
A common beginners mistake is that if you do not get anything on the flop you raise all or almost your whole stack. So when someone is doing that you might think about how he has played his hands before and maybe call his bluff.
You need to work on your bluffing.... You need to build a story around it so that your opponents does not suspect you of bluffing... they just think you have a lucky day with the cards dealt.
Never bluff more than 2 times in a row because it 's quite possible that someone will think "he cannot be that lucky" and call you because he wants to see what you have. If you get a very strong hand dealt to you it is also smart to act as you are bluffing because some people will call you and you just upped the pot as well as your earnings.
You can also "semi bluff" that's when you miss what you need on the flop but you still have a "way out" for instance you have an King and a jack and the flop is Queen, ten, seven. You almost have a straight but you have 8 ways of getting it because there are 4 Aces and 4 nines in the deck and getting either one will give you a very strong hand.
What you should take away from this article is that when bluffing you sometimes will get good results just betting a lot of chips but you will be more likely to go victorious from the table if you know how to make them believe you're just getting dealt good cards.
Good Luck!
